It's kind of weird what I think of when I first wake up sometimes... it's like
where'd that come from??? Anyway, this morning first thing, I was thinking about my student job when I was an undergrad working on the campus production horticulture farm. We'd grow big fields of stuff like watermelons, cateloupes, etc., take sugar samples from them, and then start eating.

I lived off what we took out of the field to some degree and gave a lot away. In terms of the fruits though, the goal of the field trials was to find fruits with higher sugar content. The higher the sugar, the more desirable and the more favorable the review. I'm sure this has lead to the fruit we eat - probably across the board - to be much higher in sugar content than the same kinds of fruit that our ancestors ate. So, even when we are eating something "healthy," we may, in fact, still be getting more simple sugers in our diets than our bodies are prepared for.
I did a quick GOOGLE search and
HERE'S ONE ARTICLE I FOUND. It doesn't say it, but I can tell this is a Christian Finn article because it gives you just a little but then says you can't read the rest unless you join up (= pay) .. which is fine... we all need to make a living.
