i'm trying to put on about 10 lbs because i'm about 6' 150 now. i've been trying hard but i cant gain any weight. i lift 5 times per week and do cardio 2-3. how can i add more muscle and stay lean w/o adding fat? i eat alot of fruit, protein, and even carbs.

to gain weight, you have to take in more calories than you burn off. if you're not gaining weight, you're not eating enough.

Try to cut the cardio to 1-2 times per week and make those into H.I.I.T sessions lasting 25 minutes tops. I also noticed you said you eat "even carbs"...dude f**k that atkins BS. If you wanna grow you gotta eat alot of carbs. But make sure they are good carbs like whole wheat bread and pastas. Basmati rice is good stuff too.

It sounds like you might be too worried about gaining fat (takes one to know one [img]smile.gif[/img] ).

The simple answer is to eat more. The complex answer is to eat more of the right foods at the right times, in quantities that are sufficiently above maintenance to be utilized by your muscles, without excessive surplus to be shuttled into fat tissue. How is this done? It depends [img]tongue.gif[/img]
