This may be the wrong board, if so, sorry! This is the 3rd time in a row it happened and I'm getting concerned.

A little background. I'm in BOM, week 18, so its a new workout. I workout M.W,F; and my schedule on lifting nites is always the same. Plenty of fluid ( a homemade sports drink, I've used for years) home and my PWO shake, then dinner (tuna and cottage cheese about 8:30).

This has only happened on Monday nites, not any other workout nite, but about 8 PM I get weak and shaky. Last nite broke out in heavy sweat. Last week I was helping my sister move, last nite grocery shopping (I'm sure the checkout girl thought I was coming down or something!), 2 weeks ago I can't remember. I'm sure its my blood pressure coming down, or a drop in blood sugar, but my shedule is the same 3 times a week, why does this only happen on Mondays? I feel fine, no dizziness or blurred vision, just an overwhleimg weak feeling that lasts the rest of the nite. As soon as it happens I try to grab a candybar or pop but then I feel guilty eating crap.

This happen to anyone else out there? Or any ideas? I'm going to try to eat earlier on Mondays, and next week deliberatly not do anything to see if it happens not undr exertion.

thanx for the help guys!
Alan

what are your weekends like? I know that if I drink saturday night, I can't do any effective exercise on sunday, no matter how much or how good I eat and drink sunday. I've tried to work out sunday night after a saturday of drinking, and I got queasy and sick, even after eating clean and drinking plenty of water all day sunday.

So, it could be that some aspect of your diet is lacking on the weekends, and it takes your system a couple of days to get back on track.

To expand on jimb213's idea: how about sleep? I know most people have different sleep patterns on the weekend. For me, if I sleep later than usual (especially in the hot summer) my energy throughout the day is lessened. So if you're off from that, then the week's first workout may wipe you out.

And as far as the sudden onset of weakness, I have definitely had that in the past. My parents think I may be hypoglycemic. Anyway, I used to do the same and grab the nearest sugar rush. It works. However, keeping a steady flow of low-GI carbs has held those 'attacks' at bay for a while now. (It also makes carb-cutting diets dangerous for me.)

Not to worry you, but this kind of thing can come up later in life and get worse. Maybe it's a possiblity that you've developed some sort of hypoglycemic disorder? Best of luck-
