Probably a stupid question, but a poster asked about mixing creatine in warm water.

I mix protein powder and water at work. It takes forever to mix it in cold water, not to mention the lumps at the bottom of the glass.

When I mix the protein in hot water, it mixes more completely.

Does the water temperature negatively impact the nutrients in the protein?

thx

From my experience, whey protein in warm water is fine, but in hot water it clumps and presumably loses its integrity. I've yet to find any real study on the temperature limits for protein powder integrity, so I don't really sweat it unless it's visibly destroyed.
