Care for a quick fix, rather than having to accept the fact that good health is a lifestyle that requires effort?

An article in the Washington Post revealed that "Fat-Busting Ultrasound May Be on Its Way". $27 million has been thrown into a technology to use high-intensity ultrasound waves, beamed about an inch under the skin, to break up fatty tissue without pain, scars, anesthesia or a long recovery time.

Here's the kicker:
Quote:
It's not clear exactly where the fat goes after ultrasound jolts it loose. LipoSonix and its medical advisers believe the body's immune system responds to the disrupted site, digests some fat cells and deposits others into the bloodstream. Other fat cells may migrate to other body parts, while others are excreted.
I don't know about you, but somehow it seems that fat cells floating randomly around the body can't be a good thing.

As long as there is a demand for quick fixes we will see people attempting to develop products like this.

There will be plenty of people out there willing to risk what ever the side effects are from having this procedure preformed.

How would you like for them all to wind up in ONE place! Of course, for you johnka, there wouldn't even be enough to cause a ripple!

So, if they are "broken lose," they lose their innervation and die, right? So, it would create a bunch of dead cells floating around that your body would have to deal with. Hmmmmm, looks like it's about time to go to the gym!
