I joined a new gym here that is really popular, especially with some pro atheletes like Jamal Lewis and Jevon Kearse.

As a benefit of joining, you get two free sessions with a personal trainer. Though I have not taken them yet, I have spoken with one breifly over the phone.

I told him this..."I'm 6'0, 183-184 @ 9% bf. I want to get to 195 to then shed, I eat about 3500 cals a day with about 300 carbs, and 300 protein. I cycle three days a week and can't gain a single pound.

To keep it brief, he mentioned that I should take gainer matrix for a few weeks because of the high carb content. He feels I should go to about 500 carbs a day, and about 4500 cals. He stressed that I must use those if not I'll just get fat.
John Hopkins and has been arounbd for over 20 years. He said he just toiok the product and it worked great for him. He is shredded!

Have you heard of this product? Also, does that seem like an enourmous amount of carbs?

Thumbs down

you have to be suspect about stuff like this. kinda sounds like they might be getting some coin in their pocket by pitching the product which in itself is certainly nothing special.

a 1500 calorie jump doesnt sound good to me. you'd do better to up by about 300 and see how you do. if you make progress at 3600 for instance, whats the point in taking in 4500.

IMO, that advice is pretty poor.
