I am not really too familiar with the downsides if having too much sodium in your diet. How does sodium affect the body? Does it cause you to retaim more water also? I am not sure how much is a good, healthy, and safe amount I should be consumming in my diet. Is there a c ertain amount that I shoudl be limiting myself to? I have been trying to limit myself to 2500 calories a day and eating about 5-6 times a day. This does take some planning and it is very easy for me to grab a Healthy Choice meal that has 300 calories, low fat, and a good amount of protien. The problem with that is that they have approx 600-700mgs of sodium and I am thinking that that is too much. I drink a lot of water but I still have cotton mouth in the morning when I wake up. Is this a result of the sodium? Should I just drink more water? Any information on sodium and any info on a link that has good healthy low fat/low calorie recipes woudl be appreciated.

Thank you.
