A couple of guys in my office were talking about this book. The premise is that some people are carb/protein efficient, some fat/protein, and some dual. After determining which you are (based on bloodwork and other things that I can't remember), you tailor your macro's around it.

Anyone have any comments? Just because I like variety, I'm currently going low fat. My goal is just to see what happens. Curiosity, I guess

Experts I've talked say that there's just no way they could determine what's right for you by one simple measurement. However, the belief is that in the future, your diet will be custom designed for genetics.

Thanks, Adam. I wondered about a lipid profile, etc., being able to predict what you SHOULD eat. To a greater extent, you'd think it was what you ALREADY HAVE eaten.

I really do believe that we're each different. That's why I keep moving around my diet all over the board. So far, I've determined that eating whole foods in any combination of macro, at any meal or for the day, is OK in the right quantities as long as I'm working out. THAT can't be the secret, so I'll keep looking

I agree. People are different in everything else, nutrition shouldn't be an exception.
