Question

Hi, I work at a fast food chain part time, just once a week to keep me afloat. I have been there a few years, and it came a time where i was just darn fed up of burgers, i started training a lot and focsed on my nutrition a lot. I discovered a new recipe for my breaks......a McProtein Shake. It contains the following:

4 egg whites
250ml of semi skimmed milk
50ml of ice cream
a tad of flavouring - banana, strawberry.

Now that sounds great! It tastes good too. Now I was just wondering a few things, i wonder if anybody can answer some of my queries....

1. How much protein is in each egg?
2. Is the egg yolk (yellow bit) good for you? I heard its full of fat, thats why i dont include it in my shake.
3.Is the shake actually any good for me? Or just full of the wrong ingrediants.

Now obviously I am working with the materials I have in work, so i cant add any oatmeal or anything......

Cheers.

It is some where around 3g per egg. Maybe someone more knowledgable than I would know whether the body can process raw eggs as readily as cooked. I was under the impression (salmonella aside) that the the body didn't uptake uncooked egg protien.

Me and JP both not working out - what are the odds of that? About the same as WMDs being the real reason we went to war, I'd wager....

Kaiser, gettin' large in the belly.
Thorazine, Haldol, or Mellaril?
