Question

I am new here so please forgive me if this has recently been beat to death.
But I am trying to figure out what I can and should eat before heading out at 5:45 am to workout. I alternate between lifting and cardio days and everday do a protein shake when my workout is over. My dilemna is that I need something I can grab and go or takes just a moment to prepare so I can get out the door and get started. Any suggestions?

My shake is just whey protein, ISS 28G, a carnation instant breakfast( vitamins and minerals) and about 3g of creatine. I drink it right after my workout.I do not add the creqtine until the morning but make the shake the night before. Pre-workout I am trying to find something to work, I will try oatmeal and I always have about 2g of creatine in some apple juice.

My breakfast is 12oz water, 1.5 scoops of Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein, 1 cup of Oats, and 2 Tbsp of Natty PB. I blend it all together for a smooth breakfast shake. Um, Um, Good!

I have that about an 1 to 1.5 hours before I workout.
