Default Eating after workout

I workout around 5pm. I come home and make my protein shake with whey, juice, and frozen fruits. How long after my shake should I wait to eat dinner. I usually give it about an hr to an hr and a half. Should I give it longer?

Doesn't matter. It's just the calories over the course of the day.

As long as you're getting your PWO shake or meal asap after your workout, you're good..

There's a debate whether nutrient timing is even a big deal, in the big scheme of things..

By far the most important factors are not going to the gym hungry, and making sure you hit your calorie and macro target for the day..

Ok, I was concerned that I would be consuming too many calories in such a small time period. What are macros?

"Macros" means macro nutrients. The three macros are proteins, fats, and carbs.

You know, you could just come home and eat dinner. Your post workout meal can be an actual meal.
