Default About Yogurt

Is there any reason not to eat flavored FF sugar free yogurt? Yoplait or Dankin? Calories are about 80 cal. Every reference I see to yogurt is plain. Seriously?

Compare the ingredient lists and decide which you'd rather eat.
Some people like more control over what they eat and like yogurt that is just fermented milk. Some like it plain, some like it with fruit that they've also selected.
Others prefer the convenience of the other types and don't mind the extra ingredients:

I don't know what half that stuff is, but I do eat those yogurts sometimes. I get them when I'm out and need a snack from the store, for instance. I don't always like plain.

I like some of the low carb yogurts because the have more protein. I don't really care how many carbs they have, just protein and calories are my main concerns.

I eat a lot of plain yogurt, but for many people it's an acquired taste. You can add fruit and sweetener as you like.

greek yogurt is awesome. lower carbs and higher protein. Plus, it tastes a lot better (creamier).

fwiw, i do get those yogurts as well, when i want something sweet, but not terribly awful.

I have been buying vanilla flavored greek yogurt and then adding cinnamon, nutmeg and some splenda. It's good.

I like things pretty sweet

I don't get those yogurts because I don't like the ingredients. I prefer yogurts without all of the artificial additives, including aspartame, which has an awful aftertaste.

I prefer greek yogurt, and I'd rather buy plain and put my own fruit with it. Frozen strawberries work pretty well for my afternoon snack - thawed enough in the fridge by the time I eat it. In a pinch, I'd rather buy the Stonyfield farm yogurts which, while high in sugar, has a pretty reasonable ingredient list, and only about 60 more calories than the sugar-free yogurts. I can handle those extra calories.

Greek yogurt is pretty expensive, so you might try making your own. It's cheap and easy. Even just plain yogurt is a lot cheaper if you make it yourself. tooting my own horn

The Greek (or strained) yogurt instructions are down at the bottom!

And by easy, I mean "not as hard as you'd think."

That will come in handy when I'm trying to use up a gallon of raw milk before it spoils, thanks! Normally, the extra money is worth it to me so I don't have to spend the time.
