This is the guy that promotes human cloning and designer babies-I take him with a grain of salt as I do diehard organic fans. I don't agree with his views on GMO food products.

What's wrong with cloning and designer babies? Or GM food for that matter?

I don't recall saying anything was wrong with organics.

You just seemed to imply that advocating cloning and genetic engineering meant that a person's viewpoint was somehow marginalized because of that stance - so I was interested in why you felt that way.

Many of the people I read say that any and all ways of getting enough food for the people likely to be alive in 40 years is terribly important. Along with an aggressive program to make birth control available to parts of the world not providing them. I myself have not been persuaded regarding the relative benefits of organic over readily available. Except in the summer from my own garden.

Because you have a different opinion on these topics you assume Silver doesn't know his stuff? In my opinion Silver does an excellent job stating his case for human cloning and does an even better job in highlighting the erroneous connotations associated with all- natural food.
