Default fat loss mythology

Below I have listed some of the most common myths perpetuated concerning fat loss.

Calories Don’t Matter

Low carb diets are superior to other diets for fat loss

You can’t eat fruit when trying to get shredded

Eating grapefruit enhances fat loss

Glucagon is a fat burning hormone

Elevated insulin decreases fat loss

Carbs shouldn’t be mixed with Protein/ Fat meals

Cortisol blockers result in huge weight loss

Eat every 2-3 hrs to maximize fat loss

Exercise in fasted state means more bodyfat loss

Sugar causes obesity

Artificial sweeteners cause obesity

You need to eat super clean to lose fat

Calcium ingestion increase fat loss

Alcohol consumption makes you fat

Eating after 6 P.M. makes you fat

The best exercise for fat loss is low intensity long duration aerobics

Performing hip reps make you cut

thanks,
Coach Hale

Well I hold to 2 or 3 of those on the list. Or did. There were some terms I didn't understand - shredded, cortisol blocker and hip reps.

Hip reps is likely a typo. High reps.

Shredded is to be very, very lean. like ripped.

Cortisol blocker is a medication or supplement that blocks the production of cortisol.

I thought this was true in the sense that decreased insulin increases lypolysis and increased insulin decreases it. Not true?

Exercise in fasted state means more bodyfat loss

Fasted cardio is not necessary, but this could be true (unless you're just pointing out that you don't need to do fasted cardio to lose fat). I think it's too general a statement. I don't see much wrong with fasted LISS.

Alcohol consumption makes you fat

Sure it does if you overdo it
I'm with you on the rest of them.
