Default Non-Egg Breakfast Ideas?

I need some healthy breakfast ideas that don't include eggs as they make me hurl-tastic (not allergy per se, just egg-intolerant?). I have been having the same thing for breakfast everyday and it's getting old. Can you guys suggest anything?

My usual morning routine:

Pre-workout:
1 scoop whey protein in water
1 banana

Post-workout/breakfast:
1 scoop whey protein in water
steel-cut oatmeal
1 tsp brown sugar
1% milk

Unfortunately, this causes me to have most of my carbs in the am. I'm drawing a blank trying to think of alternates that are still 'breakfast-y.' I mean, I don't want to end up eating chicken breast, broccoli and brown rice for breakfast either, y'know?

turkey burgers but made with spices like sausage - so really homemade sausage using turkey - and fry it up and serve with a little maple syrup?

In the old days (like 30s and 40s ) people would have steak & tomatoes - little minute steaks or cube steaks.

When I was vegan and working in San Antonio, I'd often have a breakfast taco of refried beans, cubed cooked potato & salsa in a corn or flour tortilla.

Cottage cheese & pineapple works for me when I'm tired of shakes.

If you're eating bread, grilled cheese or ham and cheese is good for breakfast. Or on an English muffin.

I have a problem with eggs in the morning too, but like them fine at other times. I do find though that hard boiled or egg salad in the morning is much better for me than something like scrambled - doesn't make me want to hurl. So hardboiled egg sliced on an English muffine with a slice of ham can be good too. If you are having bread.

You could try a protein cookie (tons of recipes over on the oxygen magazine forums)

Like LisaS said - a turkey patty
Tofu scramble
cottage cheese
greek yogurt

EDIT: quinoa (sp?)

Just eat whatever you would eat for lunch.

...or for more traditional breakfast foods, try spam, yogurt, cottage cheese, spam and fruit, bacon or sausage, fruit, or spam and eggs (which hardly has any eggs at all), etc.

There are a bunch actually, and I used to know some, but I don't remember which are the good ones . You can search for some and test them out though, and you can find ones for waffles also. The great thing is that you can vary the kind based on your protein flavor

I eat Kashi GoLean sometimes. There are more carbs than protein but you still get a good amount of protein.

I'm with the other suggestions above too (turkery burger or lean ground meat, greek yogurt, cottage cheese)

You could do canadian bacon and low fat or fat free cheese on wheat bread.

Out of curiosity, are you on a low carb diet? You said those meals give you most of your carbs for the day. The first meal is about 25-30g carbs, while the second looks like it's around 50-70g depending on how much oatmeal.

I'm not on low-carb, just trying to keep my carbs at 30% for the day and it just seems like I get most of them in the morning as I go to the gym in the morning. It would make things nicer (i.e. satisfy carb cravings) if I could get more carbs throughout the rest of the day, but I dunno maybe this timing of when I get my carbs is better? I hate cottage cheese (evil cthulu cheese!) and any kind of non-green beans but I'll try some Greek yogurt and check out the numbers on some turkey sausage. I keep forgetting that I don't have to be afraid of some fat, I'm actually a little low on the fat % everyday.

Thanks for the super ideas everybody!

oh, also ricotta cheese or low fat feta

Don't fear the fat! Peanut butter and almond butter are both good sources of protein PLUS they are very satiating.

I like cottage cheese with fruit (especially blue berries and peaches)!

I'm so hungry right now that you got me thinking about breakfast burritos.

Even if the OP wants to avoid eggs in the morning you can hide them pretty effectively in a breakfast burrito with egg, cheese, sausage and salsa.

Eggs make me puke too... Can't even smell them without gagging. I can consume them if they are hidden very well inside of a chocolate chip cookie or some such thing though... LOL!

I eat pizza for breakfast nearly every morning

1. pita (I use whole wheat but any sort will work)
2. a bit of low carb spaghetti sauce (walnut acres makes a good one)
3. some italian seasoning and salt
4. low fat turkety burger (3-5 oz)
5. 45 grams of italian cheese

You can add veges, etc to this as it meets your macro requirements for the day. This is just the base. I also second cottage cheese and fruit. And finally, I do steak or chicken dishes. Who says breakfast can't be like dinner or lunch. Peanut butter has a lot of fat in it so I don't often do that so much for the protein.

Most days for breakfast I like:
Protein shake with berries (about 70g berries)
Flax muffin (made with 1 egg) (often with a little cream cheese)

Sometimes I'll take the shake plain and put dried fruit in the muffin instead.

I also get pukey with eggs if I eat them too much or cooked a certain way. I like eggs, but for some reason they make me want to hurl!

There is a really good recipe in the original Gourmet Nutrition cookbook. It has turkey sausage (like italian style), zucchini, onion, a little cheese and some blenderized cottage cheese. You bake it in a casserole dish and it is delish for any meal, in my opinion. Not too strange to eat for bkfst.

Another thing I like is greek yogurt mixed 50:50 with cottage cheese and add some oats of any style plus some chopped nuts and a little sweetener. Try veggie sausage or turkey bacon, sauteed peppers and onions and some low fat cheese on a tortilla or plain.

My go-to is either cottage cheese, fruit & chopped nuts .. or greek yogurt, fruit and nuts. I exist on the Trader joe's Nonfat Greek Plain yogurt .. and that stuff packs a serious protein punch at 23g per cup! Rocks my morning! That .. some black coffee, and I'm stoked for the morning
