Default before bed...

I am eating cottage cheese at night before bed for some casein protein...is it ok to mix in some agave nectar for some yum factor? the label states that it has a low GI so it is "slowly absorbed into the body preventing spikes in blood sugar" Thanks

totally do whatever you want. the GI business is only gonna matter if you eat one food all by itself, in quantity, in a fasted state… and it still don't really matter.

unless… you know… you're like hypoglycemic or diabetic or something.

if it were me, I'd rather mix in some berries than a sweetener - similar effect but you'd get some nutrition as well. But then I eat cottage cheese plain quite often so I'm probably not a good advisor.

I think that'll have far too much fiber for eating before bed. I can't imagine what your morning "constitutional" would be like!

I like to mix it with sugar-free pudding powder.
