Default Oh oh.. Forgot to stick wheat germ and ground flax seed in the fridge..

Have they gone "bad", or whatever?

I bought them the day before yesterday in the afternoon (they had them in the fridge), and I didn't remember to put them in the fridge till last night, so like 14 hours..

You might have shortened their shelf life a bit, but they won't go rancid in that short a time. Just stick them in the fridge and use them up.

My jar of flax seed actually says you don't need to refrigerate it. But of course I do. I suspect that is a marketing technique they use to sell more flax seed. I did read that flax seeds and nuts are really bad for you when they start to spoil. More than just indigestion.

There's a lot I don't refrigerate and can't say I have any problems. I don't actually bother sticking ground or whole flax in the fridge.
