Default High Blood Pressure- Diets & Suppliments

I was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure. I am also dieting. I know the meds for high lood pressure strip the body of much needed nutrients- add dieting to that & I might have a problem. What can I take (supplements?) to replace these nutrients? Thanks!

Lipitor is not for controlling blood pressure, it's for controlling cholesterol. If your BP is high, you should be on a medication for that as well.

If your diet is on track, you should be ok. There are small changes you can make here and there that make a big difference. For example you might want to look at Potassium salt to replace regular table salt. What's your diet like?

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the responses!!

Galya- I do need to work on my diet. I have made a huge effort to eat healthier. I cut out all fast food. I bake instead of fry. No more Ruffels! as you can see, I really needed to make some changes. I am, however, still working on it.

I am ging to thefitcast.com right now!! Thanks!

I found a great Coq10 supplement. Its a softgel with a lipid tri-blend for best absorption. I will update everyone soon!
