Default quality whey protein

I have never purchased whey protein. I never understood the difference between whey protein from brand x and brand y.

I have read that quality whey is worth the price.

I would like to know some of you guys' personal experiences and opinions on whey protein brands. As I see them everywhere now from Rite Aid, CVS, GNC and infamous T-nation shop.

What kind of whey protein have some of you guys been using?
Is there much difference between the varying brands?
If there are some articles or sources I can read, then I'd appreciate it if you can point it out to me.

Thanks.

I've never really paid attention to brands. I generally just buy the biggest tub for the cheapest price I can. I've tried and recommend American Whey, ON Whey, and Trueprotein.com

ON is a great choice, you can't go wrong. Personally I believe brand doesn't matter all that much - the quality is never going to be the same as a real piece of meat.

Right now I'm currently using EAS; however, they've just changed their formula and it tastes like chalk now. I like Gaspari's protein, I'll probably start using that next time I need a tub.

Long story short, get what's on sale.

You can get pure proteins and proteins with creatine in them. My advice is to go with the pure and generic protein. I use Whey protein for GNC.

I second the trueprotein.com recommendation. I like that you can customize your protein mix (I like to combine whey and milk protein isolate) without additional charge.

Arm + Leg = GNC Protein

Trueprotein is good.
Lately I have been using EAS I buy in bulk from Sam's Club. The chocolate is pretty good, but I haven't tried vanilla yet.
