Next week I have training classes three of my 4 work days. We'll be pretty much confined to one room the whole time and I'm guessing no access to fridge or microwave. I really do not want to have to go out and buy lunch all three days... any suggestions what I could bring that doesn't need to be refrigerated or warmed up?
Thanks!
I eat stuff that's been out for hours, too. But, generally speaking, those things ought to be kept cold. Especially if there are animal products in the mix.
I also remember dragging a bologna sandwich around with me for 4-5 hours when I was in school on 90 degree days. Never got sick, but I doubt I'd do the same thing now. Hmmm...
Im horrible for eating food that have been out longer then they should be. In the morning ill pack some chicken breasts into a few ziplock bags and eat them at 4pm if thats when I get the chance. How bad is this?
Sometimes I think we are too paranoid now. I have a friend who is obsessively clean. Always cleaning things with bleach...and she and her kids area always sick. Not that I'm a big proponent of salmonella or anything.

buy a cooler (one that you can put on your shoulders and walk with it and fits your lunch in) and an ice pack. I work out at velocity sports performance at 6am in the morning and then I go to school and then I don't eat until about 11:30. Everything is still cold. I had a lemonade, salad dressing, and salad with tuna fish, cucumbers, brocolli, and radishes.
Starkist has Tuna pouches out now that have sauce already mixed in to them. They are delicious. I like the hickory smoked, the wife likes the tomato pesto.
