Default Insulin and GH

I've read again and again and again (and again) that there is an "antagonism" between insulin and growth hormone, that an insulin spike inhibits "GH release" or "interferes" with it, which is bad, etc.

Could someone be so nice as to EXPLAIN (no lapidary, ready-made sentences, please!) in words that I can understand?

I'd like to learn how it works. Perhaps Mr Aragon or someone like him could explain it to me/us?

I am the complete layman.

Thank you!!

Concerns over insulin spikes inhibiting GH are distantly secondary to how much fur is growing on my butt cheeks.

GH is anabolic when taken at supraphysiological doses or for correcting deficiency in clinical cases. Other than that, GH elevation is a compensatory response to inadequate nutrition or physiological stress. For example, hypoglycemia is a trigger of GH output, so is sleep deprivation, so is starvation. Lemmie ask you, which has a more powerful effect on gains in muscle – adequate food intake, or the rise in GH from a lack of food?

The bottom line is, you've read too much of the wrong shit, bro.

Thought JP was gonna have to install an anabolic subforum after reading the thread title....
