Default night shifts and eating

hey guys,

i am about to start a new job on this coming thursday. i will be working thursday, friday and saturday 5pm-5am. i was wondering how should i go about eating. since i am off the rest of the 4 days i was thinking that i would maintain my current eating schedule. usually its 8am breakfast, 10am snack, 1pm lunch, 3pm snack, 6pm dinner, 8pm snack or something around there. i was thinking i would add a middle of the shift snack and then eat breakfast when i got home and then sleep. after waking it would be lunch and so on. what do you guys think? thanks for any advice.

Just don't worry about what food is eaten at what time. I had eggs for dinner last night, and I'm working a completely "normal" schedule.

No, you ruined your eating habit. Working night shifts is little different with regard to diet. I know, because I've worked one for over 10 years.

I agree with LD and Cynic.... Unless you are doing some sort of carb tapering don't worry about what you eat and when. I eat every 2-3 hours throughout the day as long as I am up and for the hours that I am up. If I am up until 4 in the AM then I eat at 2:00 AM and again before I go to bed.
