Do women need Creatine?
Hi there....for those of us training hard on NROL, do the girls need to supplement with Creatine? If so, what kind and how much?
Thanks

As far as I know, it benefits men and women the same, but some women don't like it because it makes you retain water and weigh more. I am thinking of getting some because it is supposed to give you more energy to perform better during lifting. There are a couple other ladies who I noticed in their logs also used creatine, but I can't remember who at the moment.

Nobody needs creatine, NROL or not. But yes, women can benefit from it the same as men. Like Leah said above, be sure not to be over-sensitive to the potential 3-4 pounds of water retention.

Male or female, muscle is muscle. Use at your own discretion.

I use Trac by HMP. There's no need to load and it doesn't cause you retain water or cramp. And no need to take it with a sugary drink, you just mix it with water. I have more energy and an increase in strength when I take it. Oh, and the grape flavour tastes good.

Sounds like you don't need to mix it with a sugary drink because i t is a sugary drink.
You should just find plain creatine. Creatine monohydrate or micronized creatine on the label. You take the 5g a day in your workout drink, in your coffee or tea, or just mixed into something.
My local nutrition store has a variety of them. 500g (100 servings) for about $10-12. biotest has it for $12.99 for 500g, but you can find it all over the web, too.
No sugary drinks!

I just mix it in with my propel or lemonade (sugar free) or whatnot. I don't load, just ~5g/day pwo. Not a huge weight difference, no more than normal fluctuation.

I mix it either in my PWO drink, or just in water. Just started taking it again 3 days ago, last time I gained about 2kg just from holding more water when on the creatine. Apparently I looked a little bit bloated too haha.
And as stated above, nobody "needs" creatine, but it does help(equally so for men and women), especially for strength athletes.

Nope, sugar free. It's creatine monohydrate and arginine.
