TNT! Ready to switch plans? Need advice!
I Have been on the TNT diet for 4 weeks now. I have felt great, no binges and no cravings, never hungry, which is HUGE for me. I'm unsure if I should move to plan b yet or not. I have lost @ 3 pounds, didn't take measurements(duh), but can tell I'm a little leaner in the abs but jeans all fit the same!I seem to be stuck at 131# even though a week and a half ago I was down to 128#. I do track my calories(1400+/_) and always stay below 30 gr. carbs.I lift 3 days/week fullbody(heavy) and do 20 min. cardio 2-3x/week.I'm not as concerned about the number on the scale as I am in clothes getting looser. Any advice would be great!

Why change at all? Changing to another plan is unlikely to get things going.
It's been four weeks, so you can change, but for the fastest fat loss, you should stick with Plan A.
1400 calories seems pretty low for all that exercise. What was your diet like before?

Since things seemt to be going so well I would stick with A for another 4 weeks. A little more cardio might not hurt. 2 HIIT sessions and 1 ss.
Just my opinion tho.

Well I went ahead and had a small amount of carbs with my protien pre-workout. Didn't sit that well in my stomach so I skipped the post workout carbs and just had protien. Iv'e heard that hormone levels can drop so I thought switching plans may help give them a boost. I have decided to stay on plan a and maybe do this tiny carb up 1 x every 2-3 weeks b/c I was so much stronger in the gym today, lifts were up!! Woohoo! My diet previous to this one was pretty lo carb and low fat and low calorie, and has been for awhile. I have had horrible times with bingeing in the past which has all but dissapeared! That is my favorite part of this diet! I am slowly working my way up in calories, was eating max 1200, now am up to 1450-1500 most days. I have overcame some big mental blocks about upping calories and fat! Thanks for your feedback and I'm sure I'll be back for more ???

Hi Tulsa,
I'm about 4 weeks into the plan too, just switched to carb/protein pre/post workout shakes.
I'm suprised you're stuck, it sounds like you've been following the diet well, and only 1400 calories a day.
I'm 40, 6'3", started at 218 the day after the Giants won the Super Bowl...I've had good results, down 16.5 lb in a month, and my clothes are swimming on me.
I say try the carb/protein shakes, stick to plan A all other times. And keep the carbs on the low side, see what happens.
Good luck!
Dave

This is good to hear results like this on TNT. However I am not glad about the Giants' win.
I am on week two and not seeing anything dramatic happen to my weight loss. Mind you I didn't do four weeks of Plan A to start. I jumped in and did a re-feed the first Sunday but now know better and am doing Plan A until St. Paddy's Day.

Hey Dave,
When did you start Plan B again? Have you noticed decreased fatloss since you began. This is my 10th week on plan A and I was considering plan B after my 12 weeks on plan A.
Pricipessa -Stay strong, I've got some female friends on TNT and they love it. The weightloss isn't as dramatic as it is for the men but they are definitely losing inches!

I find that 1400 calories at 130 at 5'3" to be too little. 1600 for me at least, and with even moderate activity I find myself needing 1800. Since frankly those numbers seem fine on my frame for a size 3-5, I'm finding myself curious as to just what size you are and what you want to be. Cuz by the numbers to me it sounds like you're in a nice spot and all you'd want to really do is maintain weight while building muscle to lean out if necessary.
My guess would be that you're not eating enough to really let your body change. From personal experience, eating too little stalls my progress, regardless of how well I'm eating or what my macro ratio is. When I eat to support my body and activity, the results come quicker because the body isn't afraid I'm gonna starve it.

Hi,
I'm not necessarily doing plan B, I'm sticking to Plan A, the only difference is protein/carb combo shakes pre/post workout (started on Monday so I've had 3 doses of carbs so far...I want to drop another 6 lb, then I'll do the one day of carbs (not sure what 'plan' that is). It will be interesting to see the results on the scale...I'm definitely lifting more, and feel the pump after drinking the carb/protein shakes.
I've got to tell you, after a month of no carbs, the strawberries I put in my shake were like a slice of heaven. Today I made a smoothie, 1c choc soymilk, 1/2c skim, 1c strawberries, 2 sc protein powder....amazing!!! Like eating dessert....
And GO GIANTS!!!
Best of luck to all...
Dave

Dave thanks for the info! I believe the carbs pre and post training are the only difference between plan A and B. Let me know how the results go after a few more weeks.

carbs pre-workout
I went ahead after my 1st post and added in just 20-25 gr. carbs pre workout with my protein and my lifts are still going up!! And since then I have slowly been upping my calories. I'm still leaning out in my upper body, lower is a different story but one I know all to well. I'm sure the gradual increase in calories is why results have not been more dramatic. I can see that its working and am not a bit discouraged, just impatient. I really do love this WOE. Its the easiest way I have ever ate with results. The lack of bingeing and cravings alone has reduced alot of my general anxiety! Thanks for the feedback!

Does Plan A mean 4 weeks no carbs?
I was just reading the article where it listed out the program. Am I understand that on Plan A its 7 days of fat burn, 0 days of reload which means I'm still just doing 7 more days of fat burn......and continue for 4 weeks like that?
My book hasn't arrived, but I wanted to get some clarification first.
Does this chart read that only in plan c,d,e you get ONE day of reload? I'm not seeing these 4 week intervals here?
Thanks...

Plan A is all low-carb with protein only shakes before and after workout (ie fat burning)
Plan C D and E have reload days and some have shakes with carbs and some don't.
Everyone does Plan A for 4 weeks and then you choose to either continue on with Plan A or transition on to another plan, based on your goals.

Also, where does my wonderful Shiraz come into play here? Can I drink wine at any time at all? Ever?

I think in advance of receiving your book most of your questions (especially about what is allowed) are answered in the articles published on the Men's Health site.
The quick answers are that I do not believe in seafood is limited on plan A (although other low carb diets limit oysters, mussels and clams I believe which have some carbs). Wine is okay, two glassed (4oz ea) per day. The book does say that your body will stop burning fat while it is processing alcohol so it would be better for weight loss to drink less.
