Right before I sleep usually 1000+ cals is typical. I have my reasons for this.. i dont like waking up in the middle of the night hungry, either.

I really dont think it will matter much when you eat your cals in the big picture.

Mine varies, both on which meal and how many calories.

Two whole eggs.
1/2-1cp egg whites.
About 1/2 cp 1/2 and 1/2.

Whip it all up in a bowl.

3-4oz lean ham, diced.
1/4-1/2cp shredded cheese.

NOTE: All of this is full-fat.

Start cooking up the scrambled eggs, add the ham and cheese.

Now, the oats:

3oz of your favorite fruit or berry. Make sure it's softened or thawed.
1 1/4- 1 1/3 cp milk, skim.

Put fruit and enough milk in blender to cover about 2/3-3/4 of fruit.

Puree

Pour into sauce pan, use remaining milk to wash out blender into the sauce pan.

Boil up your oat according to directions.

This breakfast will definitely carry you along and since it's 1/3 of what most amatuers need to build muscle, it's a safe bet.

Oh, add some green and red peppers and onions to the eggs for some vegetable.

I don't really measure so much anymore, so the measures above are estimates from when I used to measure.

Where does the cream cheese go? Are you mixing it in with the eggs?

Alco, you're still not done with that carton of egg whites? Next time you're at a diner, take a look at the guys ordering the egg white omelets. It's the same guy ordering the non-fat, soy, half-caf latte with a shot of hazelnut when he comes around to your starbucks for his fix.

Cynic, egg white are not full fat.

I can understand egg whites if you're trying to stretch the calories of a meal, but there's plenty of room in 1,000 calories for more yolks.

yea, you wait still the eggs firm up a bit, then you throw a hunk in. It's SOOOOOOOOOO good. Give it a try. I like to make the eggs w/ peppers, onions, and spinach, and then throw in some cream cheese or reduced fat cream cheese. Then heat it a little more until it's spreadable.

It's seriously one of the most delicious breakfast meals ever.

Roland, i add the whites for extra calories and protein! I do put a good 4-5 whole eggs in with them.

I also have the regular egg beaters which do ok. I may go with 2-3 18 count carton of eggs.

I like the fat, I guess. Plus it's far cheaper to get my P from the whole egg instead of egg white or cartons of whites. Every yolk has 3g of P, just like every white does (both from a large egg)

Egg, white only, raw, calories 17, 0 F, 0 C, 3 P
Egg, yolk only, raw, calories 61, 5 F, 0 C, 3 P

Extra large eggs are $1.17 per dozen at TJ's. They have even more P, but assuming 6g per egg, that's 1.6 cents per gram of P (and delicious).

Egg whites are $4.99 for 16 servings of 6g of P. That's 5.2 cents per gram of P (and not delicious).

Done, I got 2 18 count cartons. I'd like to think I saved on my grocery bill, but I'm adding on a ton of vegetables for experiments in vegetable juicing, a couple tubs of cream cheese (yumm), a couple bottles of kefir for PWO drinks and the biggest beef tenderloin they had.

I just wanted to say that I saw this thread yesterday, and tried the cream cheese thing in my eggs this morning but I modified it a little. I made an omlete and folded in a couple of spoonfuls instead of the usual cheese.......it was great!
Probably gonna be a usual thing for a while now.
