Default Protein Supplement Suggestions

Hey all! I'm pretty much out of all my protein supplements (I currently use Optimum Nutrition's Whey Protein http://www.optimumnutrition.com/prod...hey-p-187.html) and was wondering what was a good protein that you all suggest for around the $30 range.

I'm not that picky but I seem to have been getting the best bang for my buck with Optimum Nutrition's supplement. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

True protein appears to have remained the most cost effective since the price increase late last year.

ON went from $50/10lb bag to $75/10lb bag, which is pretty expensive. I think you can get TP's for about $6.50-7.00/lb.

I still have a ton of ON, so when I run out, I'll probably be hitting trueprotein.com.

Grow! Whey

Is $29.95 for 5lb, 2g C and 22g P per scoop. Doesn't have any flavor, but a small can of Hershey's cocoa mixed with a full tub makes pretty good chocolate flavor.

Shop at your local Walmart or Target they have some good quality protein. 12$ for 2 lbs. It's made body Body Fortress. They only have vanilla or chocolate but, it's a good price especially if you're just going to mix it with other things anyway.

This had to be done:

The Zachman has been exploring his most feminine side lately. He's trying for something between a toolbox and a junk drawer.

We're trying to depussify him, but he's resisting.

if i'm in touch with my feminine side, does that mean i get to be with more girls? because it would be like girls having gay friends except that i'm not gay.

The girls would certainly not think of you as their LGB (Little Gay Buddy)

or is that GLB (Gay Little Brother).

I just have to say that I am beyond thrilled with Nitrean from At Large Nutrition. I highly recommend all three flavors. And, this is coming from some who hates protein shakes (but not these!).

Everyone, this is a heads-up: Mason is co-owner of Atlarge and you'll never see him recommend anything other than a product from his company. He has a profit stake for his recommendations and links.

Wow, that's a bit brash, don't you think, for a simple "thank you"?

No, if you look at his last post, here, he has a link to his company's site, a retail store, in his signature. No one else here links to their personal business and we have a few business owners on here.

He also has a link to another forum. Don't you think it's in bad taste to recommend a whole other forum site on here, not just show a post from there that has good info? The reason he is advertaising that forum is because it pushes the products of his company pretty hard and he is probably a big contributor there, pimping his products 24x7. I was with Men's Health long before coming here and I never link to the site as a whole, nor to T-Nation nor anywhere else. Nor did I ever link to JPFitness as a whole on MH.

He's pretty slick and subtle in his speech, but you need to scrutinize him carefully, very carefully. He'll start with a link in his signature, some advice here and there, then the recomendations to his products will start. Maybe he does believe in his products whole heartedly, or maybe it's just typical corporate exec belief.

All I'm saying is keep in mind the basis and stake of his recommendations. I also think he should be discussing advertising fees with JP if he wants to post links to his store and forums and post about his 10% off sales. If JP is cool with it all, then so be it.

He's probably trying to figure out a way to get his MH avatar on here. It's a picture of him from teh back wearing a shirt with the URL to his site on it. Might as well leave him out and just post the URL.
