Default potassium

hi everyone, i noticed that lately i have been getting bad cramps in my feet when i swim and i was told by one of the coaches of my tri team to get more potassium in my diet. she sent me a website with a bunch of foods that have good lvls of potassium but most of them are fruits and veggies. the problem is i am violently allergic to just about all raw fruits and veggies and can;t eat them. so i was wondering if any of you good people know whether foods typically lose potassium when cooked and if so what is the best way to cook vegetables so that they maintain the most nutirents? any advice is greatly appreciated.

potassium will leach out into cooking water if you boil the vegetables.

As i'm sure your aware, on top of additional potassium you have to stay hydrated. Carry a water bottle with you at all times. Even with the additional potassium if your not hydrated enough there is a good chance you will still suffer from cramps. Something to do with a hydrolysis reaction needed to separate the cross bridges.
