Default Stupid Low-Carb Question

Okay, silly question time.

Let's say I cooked a nice juicy steak. Ate it with some steamed veggies and had a nice low carb meal.

So I'm done and there's all these flavorful meat juices on the plate. In former days I might have used some bread or a biscuit to sop up the juice. Mmmmm....

So what do I do without bread? I don't want to just wash all that flavor down the drain. If I eat alone, I can be shamelessly uncouth and lick the plate, but what do I do when there are others?

Pick the plate up and tilt it letting the juices pour into your mouth? Just don't slurp.

I save a few veggies and a small piece of meat just for that wonderful sauce. Mush it all up, swish around the dish a few times and get it all on the fork using your knife to hold it together.

However my mother would say 'never eat the last bite'

booo hoooo . . . course that last bite got me plenty fat

The polite thing to do is offer the others the opportunity to lick your plate before you do so yourself.

If the "other" is Danica, you could always smear the juices all over her and then lick them up.

That's 2 out of 3. Add in some sports and he's got the trifecta!

I meant my answer was serious - though I guess all the Danica talk could have been serious too -

Hmmm... good idea, there, Lisa. I might have to keep some in the fridge... you know, for the nights when Danica has to stay late at the garage.

I want the flavor for ME, not the dog. I'm kinda selfish that way.
