Default The Green Monster, pt. II

So a couple years ago I entered the behemoth "Green Monster" shake in that Fitcast contest. Well, I have a tastier version here, which I've been playing around with over the last week (with the holiday time crunches and all).

In the blender:

12 oz. water
30g unflavored whey protein
1/2 avocado
1 medium apple
1/2 pound fresh spinach
1/2 cup pumpkin
1/8 cup almonds
honey, nutmeg, cinnamon according to taste

The avocado and pumpkin provide the texture, and the pumpkin and spices dominate the flavoring. Good stuff, even if it looks like a bottle full of green sludge!

I dunno. In the past I've found some vanilla wheys really ruin the natural flavors of things like pumpkin, avocado, etc. But I guess it also depends on the brand. I mean, it might just be like whipped cream on your pumpkin pie. Or... well... close enough!

The Green Monster is the best shake ever, and its amazing how nutritious it is.

Great Job with Part II Ian, I am going to give it a shot this weekend when I get the ingredients, now we just need to get Johnka to try it too!
