cynic,
i got some orange cream flavor a long time ago from true protein. except they didn't have the flavor, but they sold black star labs flavors. But, now they have flavors, so it's all good! They both taste the same.

I'm sure. I like Orange. It's one of my favorite flavors and I have to really fight the craving for a Sprecher's Orange Dream everytime I see it:
These are so good!
Once I get close to done with the surge (not wasting it) I'll get some of the orange cream protein from TP.

I see that a lot of people take whey protein, which has the most consentration BCAAs per scoop. Or would you recommend getting BCAAs seperate??

No need for separate BCAA's if you have some meat and whey in your day...
I just busted a rhyme.

Ohhhhh!
I'll look for that. It isn't real expensive, is it?
Oh, nevermind. It's cognac. I haven't been able to drink brandies since 1979.

12.5g fish oil (only Prosource brand)
250mg Zinc
2000mg Vit C
1 Multi Vit
1000mcg Selenium and Chromium
Glucosamine every now and again. I use Nitrean blend protein from atlarge.
I usually alternate days with the fish oil and Zinc, Selenium, and Chromium.
Protein is about to be every day thanks to the V Diet.

I usually pop 2 at a time. Bland as anything, but they don't taste bad.

Thought I read somewhere that taking zinc actually didn't do anything to prevent colds or sore throats. And that in fact it can mess with your sense of taste?

Supplements for joint pain?
Does anyone take glucosamine or something else for joint pain or prevention? Good results? No results?
Thanks!

I've taken glucosamine for about six months now. I took it when I started really getting into running because I was having some knee pain. I haven't had the knee pain since then, but I also started some different stretches, had my stride analyzed, bought some better shoes and worked on my form a little bit, so I can't really say that it's the glucosamine doing it. I'm afraid to quit taking it though, in case it is the reason I've been pain free. I figure it can't hurt to take it.

Wow, now I remember why I stoped taking supplements, there are just too many to choose from
Personally, I really don't believe its necessary to take supplements, these vitamins and minerals are made by companies which in most cases we don't know a thing about, wether the quality of the product is good or not. Plus you can pick up several magazines and they will all tell you to take this or to take that, so who's really right ???
Too frustrating for me.
The best thing I have found for myself, a juicer, hands down the best thing I have in my kitchen. Every morning I get up, dress for my morning ride, go down to the kitchen open the fridge, take out something green, something orange, put it in the juicer and drink.
Over time I have come up with some very good drinks, and they taste pretty good.
My personal favorite, 1apple, 3carrots, 5celery sticks and some spinach.
Again, this is my way of avoiding all the supplements out in the market today, and for me, it works.

I experienced decreased joint pain (hips specifically) after taking glucosamine/chondroitin. I mentioned this last year and it spurred a good conversation about the effectiveness (or lack of effectiveness) of those supplements.
Am I overdoing it?
