Default Nutrtion Books

I was looking into books for Christmas. What does everyone think about these few....I am looking for nutrtion books.

1. Nutrient Timing

2. The Paleo Diet for Athletes: A Nutritional Formula for Peak Athletic Performance

I was also looking into some ebooks as well. What are peoples ideas about ebooks, i always like to have a book in hand. I guess i am old fashion.

1. Gourmet Nutrtion

Any others that anyone would suggest???

Alan Aragon's book:
The Book - AlanAragon.com

Coah Hale's book:
Max Condition Training and Fitness: Knowledge and Nonsense

Two no-bullshit information-packed books about nutrition. If you absorb everything from these, you won't need another nutrition book (unless you're going for some kind of degree, etc.)

All depends on the level you want to read at. Alan's book is great but you need intellegent thoughts to get through it. For a lay person nutrient timing isn't a light read and not much point. Gourmet nutrition has recipies but not much in the way of anything else.

So all depends on what you want.

I'd like to get Eat Stop Eat by Brad Pilon for Christmas. Just in case anybody was wondering what to get me.

x2 on Alan's book

I don't like GN, it's a cook book and compared to other cook books it's expensive and not particularly special. Paleo is fine but not particularly great (get PWN and basic food the rest of the time).

Honestly, Lyle's "Flexible Dieting" + Alan Aragon's Girth Control covers just about damn near everything. Lyle's is the "basic primer" and Alan's is the supplemental "tweak" guide.

Lyle's Protein book and Coach Hale's massive tome of awesomeness (www.maxcondition.com) along with the other two are about the only things I can recommend to people with a good conscience.
