Default Hang Over Day - skip workout or just do it

I had a few too many beers last night. I never drink, and it didn't take much! Question is, I feel like crap today and have super low energy. Should I take the day off from working out, or just suck it up? If I don't work out today, it kind of screws up my week... But, it's my favourite workout in my routine and I don't want to do it half assed. Any suggestions... other than not drinking next time?

Whenever I try to workout the day after I drink alot, I end up having really shitty workouts. I'd skip the workout, get a good night's sleep, and hit teh weights hard tomorrow.

I always work out on a hangover day, not that being hungover is a constant in my life. I ALWAYS find I "sweat it out". It sucks 110% when you're doing it, but I have always felt better afterwards. In terms of screwing up a workout, I wouldn't worry about that in the grand scheme of things.

Eat some food and get your mind ready for it, then just go smash some weights. Its not as if a hangover makes you weaker, you just feel a little shitty.

Just do it, you\'ll probably do allright, and feel better afterwards too. Also, don\'t wanna screw up your weekly schedule!

But then again, this is coming froma person who\'s total alcohol intake of 2007 has been one and a quarter beers, and an apple cider - one workout isn\'t going to matter anyway.

depends on how hung over your are.

i've had those next days where i can barely look at a spot on a wall for more then 5 seconds.

if your even thinking about hitting them gym go.
if going to the gym is the last thing you would want to do, forget it. rest up, drink lots of water and bust your ass the next day to make up for it

I make myself go to the gym as punishment for a lack of self control. I usually feel a lot better about myself after a decent workout, even if I'm still feeling sick afterwards. At least I feel hungover with a workout under my belt.
