I throw up my breakfast every morning (NOT intentional)
Can someone please help me here? This has been going on for almost a year now, mostly on and off, but most lately due to the gf breaking up with me a month ago. It seems regardless of how small my breakfast is (even a few raspberries and a couple eggs), and I am throwing up. Now initially i thought maybe it's an allergic reaction to certain foods, but all my breakfast foods i have later in the day without the slightest of problems. It's always breakfast.
Especially when I brush my teeth and try to cough up the junk. It sends my food straight up to my mouth and i throw up almost uncontrollably. Even if i'm not brushing my teeth, all it takes is a bend over the toilet seat and it all comes out. After eating breakfast I find my heart races super fast, faster than normal, which makes the food all the easier to come back up.
I'm considering it a stress factor seeing as how it's my last semester of school, the nervousness of uncertainty about my major and if i can make it in a job, the girlfriend dumping me, and just general insecurity. my dad suggested i try a really easy maybe mile at most jog in the morning time upon waking before any food to maybe wake up my body some. this could be a possibility i suppose, since i have a lot of bcaa's, but i would really prefer not doing this if possible.
anyone experience this before?

This happened to me for a long time, couldn't eat before about noon or no food will stay down.
I solved it by just having smaller breakfasts and then slowly increasing. Its not comfortable at all mind you. Probably skip breakfast half the time (but make up the calories later). Havn't noticed bad muscle gains by doing this.

See a doctor to be evaluated for GERD/hiatal hernia.
If you are desperate, start taking Prilosec OTC until you get into see the doc.

What you're describing isn't an unusual reaction to being stressed out.
But make certain you get it checked out by a doc. You need to be sure.

GERD was what popped into my head first. There are a few things that don't seem to connect. Obviously you need to see a doc, but for curiosity sake what are you eating pre-bed?

My girlfriend has a bad case of GERD.. symtoms dont seem to match that great to me..
I do think some people just dont tolerate food well in the AM. I know i am like this for sure. Food sitting on an empty stomach isn't happy for me.
Stress can change anything. If your stressed out, fix that first. Not much worse for you body then being stressed.

Prilosec is not terribly expensive (or cheap for that matter) and probably is worth a try. Walmart usually has the cheapest price, and its on sale there now. It takes up to four days to be effective.
Technically the word for no being able to stop thinking about an ex is obsessive thinking. And while the label in somewhat unpleasant it is no where near as unpleasant as doing it. Do you have access to a counselor?

In any event most of us guys have been through this, as bad as it seems we usually recover - and in retrospect are glad about the breakup.

i used to have something similar for about 4 or 5 years where i would throw up all the time. I started taking zantac 150mg and it stopped. A stomach specialist told me to just keep taking it if it's working. I went off it around a year ago, and i've been fine since.

If you are having trouble with keeping things down, here is an easy solution which is very cost effective but a little odd tasting if you are willing to go through with it. Take about 4oz of water (juice glass size) and mix in a heaping teaspoon of Baking Soda. YES, Baking Soda. Drink it in one gulp, Don’t Sip! Chug it down! Mind now, you may have a belch afterwards, but that’s the good thing.
If you do this in the morning about 20-30 min before you want to eat breakfast, it will neutralize the acids in your stomach which have built up over the night with nothing to digest on. It will also lesson the harsh effects of throwing up if you do happen to still do it, as since the acids in your stomach are lessoned, they aren’t as harsh on your throat when they come up. I know it sounds odd, but my kid did this for almost 2 years before breakfast. Old woman suggested it and it worked. Take a stab.
