Default Cheating to Make up for calories

Ok I have a problem, I usaully have a bowl of cereal at night. Or bowls as it may be. The reason I do this is because I try and eat at least 2600-2900 calories a day. I usually hit 2000 with dinner. But In order for me to hit my goal of 2600-2900 i have to eat like half a box of Honey Bunches of Oats. It just always seems like I am having a cheat meal at the end of the day. Is this a good or bad thing.

Also does anyone have any ideas for night time snacks????

I also should mention that I run 6 days a week and lift four. I usaully take suday off from running and just lift. I am just looking for a plan or something to guide my eating for the week, ANY IDEAS/or PLANS???? I have been struggling for a while to get this straight. If John Berardi would help that would be great

Well, what are you eating that amount for? To gain weight or to support performance? Have you noticed any physical or performance changes since you started eating all the cereal?

I mean, if you're talking "should you" or "shouldn't you", just looking at it at face-value, the obvious response would be "Well, it'd be better to eat lean proteins and vegetables instead", or something like that. On the other hand, if you are getting plenty of good fruits, vegetables, fats, proteins, etc. the rest of the day, you aren't looking to get "ripped", and you are supporting all that activity... go for it.

Personally, I end my day with almost the same thing every night, which usually runs my cals up to good amounts:

1 cup plain, non-fat yogurt
1 scoop Syntha-6 vanilla protein powder (24g protein, 5g fiber)
1/2 cup raspberries
1/4 cup roasted almonds

Stir it all up. It's good stuff!

Syntha-6, in my opinion (and in the opinion of the 6-7 clients that have been willing to try it) is a solid 8.5 out of 10 in the taste category. It also has yet to cause any GI problems in anyone I've known. I almost always go with vanilla myself, but a couple people like the chocolate.
