Default Metabolic Drive Complete alternative?

I realize Low Carb Metabolic Drive from Biotest is probably easy to make on your own (30% whey, 70% micellar casein), but what about the Complete version? I realize there are other weight gainers out there, and yes I realize smoothie "foods" with all that crap like cottage cheese, milk, whey, etc, are possible, but I'm willing to guess that ends up costing just the same as metabolic drive almost (plus it helps that the taste is uncomparable).

Basically, the rice oligodextrin, rice bran, barley flour, rice flour, oat fiber, inulin, and apple fiber (sorry i have a can of it right here next to me), seem too quality to compare to other brands that just use maltodextrin as their carb sources.

I guess my question is, are there any other weight gainers out there that compare to metabolic drive complete in terms of quality ingredients? I don't know exactly what all those things do, but they sure sound convincing (moreso than maltodextrin which is what is used in my pwo shake for crying out loud). Every one i've found as of yet has used maltodextrin.

P.S. VPX Zero Impact bars seem to have the most quality ingredients for a bar, and at 440 calories, you can't go wrong.

If you need it in powder form for the sake of portability you could use the site that lets you build your own protein powder. I am drawing a blank someone help me out.

You need a "weightgainer" or just powdered protein.

For folks looking for gaining, I like adding the 2nd PWO meal. This one is just sugar and protein. I mean serious sugar. Cocoa puffs, snickers, whatever and throw in the quality protein. Seriously, your just looking to spike the insulin levels again. They spike with sugar. So spike man....spike.

Instead of taking a "weight gainer" why not just add more good fats to your meals. That can easily add up to 700-1200 kcals.

unfortunately, when you figure it all out, it comes out to basically the sam exact price, save maybe 1-2 bucks. also, i said metabolic drive complete, not low carb version. you can't get the carbs that come in the complete version from trueprotein, but instead just malto and dextrose stuff (if i wanted that i'd just have biotest surge before going to bed, but that'd be stupid). so no, milk, and make your own, is not the same.

Metabolic Drive Complete:

Cals - 310
Fat - 8g
Carbs - 23g
Protein - 41g

That's not a lot of carbs. I have a protein drink at night with 1.5 cups of milk and half a serving of a casein/whey blend that totals 347 cals, 14g F, 21g C, 37g P. It can be done.
