Default oatmeal

Hi Everyone. I have a question regarding oatmeal. Lately I have gotten into the habit of eating Quaker oats uncooked and with milk. I actually love it and was wondering if eating it 'uncooked' was bad for you.

I wouldnt worry about it one bit!

Bad example: ive been doing it for 15 years.

You may want to drink some water afterwards. Some people cant tolerate uncooked oats well.

I eat them raw all the time, too.

Actually, rolled oats are already cooked. They have been steamed (at least once) and then rolled flat. Steel cut oats are raw. Don't eat them raw, though. Break your teeth...

I eat them uncooked, too. Usually I mix some yogurt and protein powder (and creatine), stir in the oat flakes and let them hydrate for a few minutes.
