That's an awful lot of protein before and after the workout!

It could just be that you're eating too much food. Try to log your typical foods in fitday.com and see where you land. Post up your results and we'll see.

Thank you for that I didn't know that was there for me to use. Just from what I have eaten today, it seems like a lot of carbs. This is what I have so far. I plan on eating a side salad, and flank steak w/spinach for supper.

I am not really sure how to post my food on this forum. I am new to this. I tried to copy and paste and it was all jumbled up.

Question you guys. I am entering week 2 now. Are these headaches normal. It seems like I am getting them an awful lot.

A lot of people report headaches the first week or so. A real lack of energy, too.

1. Make sure to eat enough food, particularly fat, in the first week or two. Your body is adjusting and needs the time and energy. I'm not sure why the headaches are a there, but that seems to go with the change from higher carbs to low carbing.

2. If you cut out coffee in an attempt to get healthy, start drinking it again. You'd be surprised how often people revamp their whole lifestyle at once...

I don't doubt that you're trying to be accurate, but I'm skeptical that it's right. A cup of poached egg is an odd measurement, as is a cup of braised steak...

Also, how much do you weigh?

Is this typical of how much you eat, or just today's list?

Well, I am trying but it won't allow me to put in there that I had two eggs, so I combined the two eggs together, which added up to be about one cup.

Yes, this is typical of what I eat. I change up the meats for supper. This is just for one day, because you just gave me the site, but that is normal.

My weight is 146. I am a cop so I get a lot of excerise during the day.

I don't want to aggravate you but I really need help. Thank you again.

Gotcha. I never pick the poached egg selection. I got with Egg, whole, raw. then you have the choice of the size of the egg and put in the number of them. Two large eggs is ~150 calories, btw. I see you changed it, though.

146lbs and trying to lose weight -- you're a woman, right?

Without knowing more about your history, it's hard to know for sure, but if that's an accurate picture of how much you eat on a daily basis, it seems pretty low. If you've just started on it like this, it seems like you would have surely lost weight unless you're super lean already. Or, you've been under eating for a long time.

What's your diet history? How tall? Age? How much much fat do you think you have to lose? What's your energy level like?

There are women on this site who eat quite a bit more than that, weigh less, and are losing fat, so something's up? The TNT workout is pretty demanding, plus all that running... I hate to tell you to eat more without knowing more.

Sorry for so many questions.

. Wouldn't eating a bit more make sense, so you're not slowing your metabolism while you're trying to encourage your body to burn more fat?

I'm not sure I fully understand TNT - i haven't picked up the book yet, just read the articles linked from here. I'm not really trying to lose fat, maybe 3% if that, I just want to be healthier long-term.

Yes, I am a woman... About 2 months ago I was eating less than that and running 5 miles a day. My doctor told me to try the TNT diet because I wasn't losing weight and I was not gaining any muscle. So, I started doing this... I took my measurements before I started and I took them a few days ago and I have not changed.

My weight changes year to year. I will lose weight lowest being 110 lbs. I would maintain that for a couple of years and then my lifestyle changed. So needless to say I packed on the weight. I have tried weight watchers and all the other stuff. This diet I am comfortable with and so far I like it, I just think that I might be doing something wrong... which now that you say it I might be eating to much in one sitting. For example, it is really hard for me to get 5 small meals a day because of my job and so forth, so when I do get to eat I am not going to say that I eat everything in site but I do eat.

I am 4'10" I am very short.
I am not really fat so to say... I do have "love handles" that I would like to get rid of, but all in all just want to build muscle and look really tone. I won't to be able to wear sexy clothing without having to worry about my "fat" showing.

I am 32 years old
My energy level is very high My friends say that I am like a humming bird on meth.

According to the manager at the gym my body fat percent is 36%. So I guess that want to lose at least 15%.

I think I have answered all of your questions. Thank you again for helping me. At least maybe I can get some tips for a professional so to say. Ask anything you want I don't care as long as it helps

Sounds like a good time to start reducing your food intake just a bit to see what happens.

Since you don't track or count with TNT, the trick is to mentally choose to eat less that you'd usually eat. It's hard, but that's what I have to do. My gauge is broken, unfortunately. I have learned about my own appetite, but still have to force myself to eat a little bit, then wait 20 minutes to see if I'm still hungry.

Try to establish a regular eating schedule, even if it's 3 or 4 per day. You'll get used to eating around those times, and won't be as likely to feel like you're starving. I eat 3 meals a day, plus my workout food or drink, plus I keep a snack or two handy, just in case I'm held up (not held up in the "need to call a cop" way).

I wish it was really that easy for me. I work very strange hours, so one day I might be sleeping at 12pm and the next day I might be waking up at 5am. I don't really have s set schedule. I kind of work when the criminals are at their best. I am a fugitive investigator, so you see where I am going with this. I have to force time, meaning getting less sleep to go to the gym.
I will try my best to do that. Also, what kind of snacks to you keep on hand just in case? I generally try and carry a cooler with me at all times. So carrying food with me won't really be a problem.

For snacks, I carry hard-boiled eggs, cut up veggies w/dip, slim jims, cheese sticks, almonds

I suppose it's not all that easy. Just try to be as consistant as possible, I guess. A regular pattern of meals (as far as time between meals) from when you get up, maybe?
