Default Homemade vegetable shakes?

I hate eating vegetables. I really can't stand the textures and I'll try for 30 minutes to eat a serving or two of greenbeans or broccoli. I know they are necessary so I've decided to become creative. I throw a cup of steamed broccoli and steamed spinach in a blender with a tomato, some steamed carrots and whatever else is lying around with some water, blend the hell out of it, and drink it a couple times during the day. It's about 8 servings per day, and the damage is minimal in terms of its grossness. I mean it's pretty gross, but I can take two swigs in about 5 seconds and get about 3 servings of vegetables in rather than choke down a salad. Has anybody else tried this? I might also add flaxseed and Greens+ or a similar supplement to get even more nutrients. Maybe even some V8 for taste?

My family looks at me pretty crazy whenever I blend this up and sip it. I might even put it in an opaque shaker bottle and bring it to work so that nobody knows what it is. Anybody have ideas?

We were talking about this in another thread somewhere, but you can also put veggies in regular smoothies and it tastes great. It won't get you the number of servings you're currently choking down, but every bit helps. I put frozen broccoli in my shakes w/protein powder, banana, berries and milk or water. You can't taste the veg at all. You can also use frozen spinach, frozen cauliflower and steamed carrots. Celery also works and you can't really taste it.

Here is my Where's The Greens Shake. Yet to find a person who didn't LOVE it.

1 scoop of choc or vanillia protein
1 cup of greens and broccoli
1 cup of raspberry/strawberry mix
1/3 cup of Skim milk
2 tbsp of sugar free choc syrup
1/8 cup Splenda or 2 packets of Stevia

1-Put in Skim Milk First in Blender
2-Put Thawed greens and broccoli. Make sure they are not completely frozen and drained of most liquid.
3-now add the protein powder and the syrup
4-now add the splenda/stevia
5-Add fruit (can add it one by one or in small bunches if blender isn’t very strong)

Good ideas from both of you. I had a few servings of my veg drink today, and it was at least edible. It's sort of like taking a medicine, I hold my nose, take a couple gulps, and chase it with some water. I find it hard to imagine that the greens put into a fruit/protein shake would be hidden, but I'll give it a shot once this bottle runs out. Thanks for the advice.
