Classification system
Type 1- sales supplements as dietary supplements (meaning to supplement a proper exercise and nutrition regimen)
Type 2- sales supplements as potinent performance, physique, mentality, vitality and longevity enhancers (forgets to mention exercise or nutrition)
Type 2 seems to be the most common. Basic suggetions made by type 2's:
-referal to supplements as nutritionals (had two encounters of such last week)
- insists their supplements are the only ones scientifically proven, theirs are the best
- refers to board members or owners having phds, mds and so on
-explains how they have tried all other supplements on the market but this is the only one that works
- tells you to just give their product a try
- provides eating plans flooded with dietary supplement recommendations
- refers to science often yet cannot cite any references other than ones funded by their supplement companies
- refers to celebs that have had so much success with their product
- uses science until they discover you have valid science that refutes their statements, then they tell you "science doesn't really matter real world evidence is what counts"
- tells you you cannot maximize your health, physique or athletic potential without their products
That was just some brief info on the type 1 and 2 classification system.
