Default Bulknutrition

I have just bought some BCAAs and Beta-alanine from BulkNutrition. Has anyone used these products and would they recommend them? I question this because they are so cheap and fear that there may be a compromise on quality.

Do a quick search for BCAAs. It's been talked about a few times already. Pay special attention to posts from Alan Aragon and Michael Russell.

Beta-alanine has failed to make it's big mark, as far as I can tell. Perhaps someday it will "prove" itself, but I've read numerous conflicting reports.

Bulknutrition has a decent reputation, and I wouldn't fear any health risks because of their prices. Weather or not beta-alanine does anything to you long-term I have no idea. The BCAAs won't kill you.

Why'd you buy them if you weren't sure about them? Personally, I think they are two of the biggest ripoffs out there, even if they do work, they aren't worth the price. Then again, I've quit all supplementation anyway, and amazingly I'm still getting bigger and stronger, go figure.

Per Aragon, a normal meal provides more BCAAs than a recommended dose.

Use the stuff up, but next time do the research before you buy.

I should have clarified in my first post. I do use both BCAAs and Beta-alanine and have seen some great results. I have never bought the products sold on Bulknutrition specifically. I was wondering if anyone had bought these specific products from Bulknutrition and if they were comparable to the more expensive varieties.

Well, here's my personal take...I bought a 1,000g bcaa container from the 1fast400 brand at bulknutrition.com. Only 45 bucks with shipping, which at 5g per serving and 200 servings for that, it was not so bad, at least for what all benefits I've read about bcaa's.

I have been taking pretty high dosages (5g with every meal, 15g before workouts, 25g during workouts, another 5 in my pwo shake), and let's just say I am still sore from monday's workout, despite eating big, clean, sleeping 8 hours a night, and supplementing with the massive bcaa amount.

That said, I'm not so sure how much they are helping me recover faster at all, but I do believe they're probably benefitial with fat loss, as I seem to have slimmed out some, but that could also be that I really upped my amount of fish oil taken in in the past 3 weeks.

One last thing, since consistently taking bcaa's for the past 6-7 months, I've yet to get sick. They probably aid in a stronger immune system or w/e.

I will probably not buy again.

EDIT: Today is thursday, and I am still sore from monday's NROL Hyper 2 upper body workout. That's a pretty long time to go still somewhat sore with that amount of bcaa's added to a proper diet and such.

Also edit that I usually get sick somehow somewhat frequently, whether small or minor. I've been nowhere near feeling anything sick in a good while now.

Thanks Lifter, I find your reply useful and interesting.
