Default Question on protein exposed to air

Hey, I was just making a PWO shake and I noticed my tub of protein had a small crack in it where there was a dent. It was a really thin slight but I could see through it. The powder seemed to smell about the same. I'm not sure if it smelled a little different or it was in my head. Anyway, does anyone have an idea what happens if protein powder is exposed to small amounts of air for, say, a few weeks?

Doesn't air get in the tub every time you open it?

For that amount of time you are fine, heck you could even go longer. Protein powder is really not a senstive substance.
