You know, you're a real bitch, making the experts contradict themselves.

Shows they can't stay away from here, either.

Id like to see the male who couldn't go from 12-9% bf while eating fruit.. and how on earth could you specifically blame fruit, I have no idea.. training program, rest, recovery, and general diet are going to be 100x more important then a few fruits.

The voice of reason yet again. Thanks, Alan!

They're one of the best possible foods to structure into a hypocaloric diet that doesn't involve attempts at carb elimination.

Another thing - YES fruit contributes to muscle glycogen resynthesis, since fruit typically has 50% of its sugar coming from glucose (Roland, don't forget that sucrose is 50% glucose).

Another thing - for those worried about fructose overdosing, realize the average fruit has about 8g fructose. Not that some fructose in the diet is a bad thing in the 1st place, esp from the standpoint of hepatic glycogen status & LBM preservation.

Another thing - fruit is one of the best possible foods to use in carb restriction because the servings are already pre-done, making it easy & convenient for the dieter.

I don't see what the issue is unless you specifically eat a bathtub of fruit for your binging problem.
