Default Convenient Snacks

Like most people, I'm working during the day and it can be tough to eat mid-morning and mid-afternoon, so I'm looking for some other ideas for high quality snacks I can eat on the fly. Here are a few of my favorites that I regularly eat now:
  • handful of raw almonds (buy them in the baking section if your store doesn't have them in bulk)
  • string cheese, prepackaged in individually wrapped 1 oz portions
  • apples
  • Starkist Tuna Creations. These are great - a 5 oz foil pouch of marinated tuna that doesn't need to be drained. 26g protein and 140 cals in a packet.
What are some of your favorites that are easy to eat quickly and pack a bunch of good stuff?

I buy lots of bulk trail mix, or make my own. This is always quick and easy, Infact i usually have some in my backpack wherever I go because you never know what can happen.

tinned sardines are really great, omega 3s, and you can get them in oil, water, mustard, or tomato.

What...they don't come in garlic flavor?

You'd have to chase them with a whole tin of Altoids!

Trail mixes are great (of course I say trail mixes but I usually just scavenge for the almonds and walnuts and ignore the rest. ha.) but it doesn't quite fill me up as tuna does. Which is weird because nuts are
supposed to be more filling for a longer time, right?

They just say that because of the fat content.. Many dont really get that effect. Tuna is more filling to me for sure if you compare cals to cals.. I mean a can of tuna has the same amount of calories as a handful or two of nuts.
