Default please evaluate my post Velocity Diet nutrition

I was on the Velocity Diet for 28 days and ended on December 1st. Now I'm trying to transition back to a Precision Nutrition style of eating but I'm not sure I'm doing a very good job.

My plan is to try for about 2 solid meals per day and protein shakes for the remaining meals. I have been recording my meals on Fitday and would greatly appreciate it if someone would take a look at it and give me some honest feedback.

http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/PublicJ...?Owner=allenkt

A couple of notes about my entries:
1. There were a couple of days where I had a spinach salad and/or added spinach to my foods but the calories were so negligible that I didn't record them.
2. Workout days are evidenced by the inclusion of Surge in my daily foods.

Offhand, I know that I need to add more veggies. I also want to increase the cardio but unfortunately I got hemorrhoids the other day (sorry if that's TMI) and I was told to take it easy on the running (and I'm not arguing that point) for a few days. I'm hoping to pick it back up by Monday at the latest.

Anyway, any honest feedback and/or criticism would be appreciated.

Karl

Looks pretty good but I'll nitpick.

1) get rid of the mayo and creamer. They're both garbage fats. Replace them with mono fats, like Peanut butter, olive oil, nuts.

2) If you want more veggies, you could try replacing the corn with a more fibrous veggie(think broccolis, ect.)

BTW, how did the V-diet go? Results?

Thanks for the reply. I don't mind nitpicking, I just want to improve and can only do that if I'm honest with everyone and get honest opinions.

I know I need to get rid of that creamer but it sure makes my coffee taste better. Anyone know of any "healthy" creamers out there? As for the mayo, I don't eat it very often, I just needed something to add to my chicken salad and couldn't think of anything else.

As for veggies, broccoli might be a challenge. I was really hoping I would like it after the v-diet but no such luck. But I think it's more psychological than anything else. As a kid I was forced to eat it and I hated it. So I think broccoli and brussel sprouts are gonna be hard to add to my diet. I'll look for some other veggie options when we go shopping next.

As for the v-diet itself, I was pretty pleased. I had been on a PN style of eating for about a month or so before starting so was already pretty low carb when I started. But in the end I lost 12 pounds and 3 1/2 inches off my waist in 28 days. Now I'm just concerned about keeping it off for the first few weeks and not losing what I worked so hard to get (hence this post). If anyone is interested, I kept a full log with pictures over on Kevin Larrabee's Fitcast Forum: http://www.thefitcast.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=88

Thanks. You know, I've noticed something weird about the lower fat milks and other foods. Seems like the low and no fat milks actually have higher carbs. So then I have to choose between fat or carbs and I usually choose fats. But the Calorie Countdown milk might work. I'll give that a try this weekend.

They still sell the chocolate around here at both Kroger and Wal Mart. But it is now called Calorie Countdown instead of Carb Countdown (same product though) as they changed their name.

Splenda has come out with something new. Flavor blends for coffee.

I've tried the French Vanilla. Not as "vanilla" as a creamer but you can use a low fat/diet creamer with these.

Do you really use enough creamer over the course of a day for it to have an impact?

I'm not sure but I wouldn't think so. I have 2 Tbsp which contains 70 kCal, 3g fat and 10g carbs. On a rare occasion I may have 2 cups of coffee in which those numbers would be doubled. And I also only drink coffee in the morning and as I understand it, my body can better handle the carbs in the morning.
