Default NOT the chocolate pop tarts!

I was standing in line at the comissary yesterday and a lady and her kid were in front of me. The kid realizes they forgot pop tarts and is about to go get them when the almost yells "NOT the chocolate kind" in a prety stern voice. Not sure if maybe the kid was allergic to chocolate or something (there's barely any cocoa in pop tarts anyway), but it just cracked me up, as if it makes a difference. It just kinda seemed like she was saying it just cause she didn't want her son eating chococlate in the morning. Like the 'fruit' kind are better for you. Anyway, the kid came back with cinnamon and brown sugar.

I used to like the ones with the chocolate crust and the vanilla filling.

The chocolate ones are my favorite! Haven't had one in years, though.

Do they still make the unfrosted kind, the ones with just pastry and fruit? Those are *marginally* better than the chocolate or frosted ones. Probably not enough to make any sort of difference if the kid's eating other junk, though.

They still have those, but if you're going to have a pop tart, have a good one. Good means frosting.

For the record, the best pop tarts are the s'mores ones. It's no contest.

I have to add my vote for the S'mores pop tarts. I lived on those for breakfast in high school.
