Default Progreens

My friend imports this greens product.

I was wonderinng if anyone is familiar with it. It is the same price as Greens+ of which we have enough supply at home, but some of my clients might benefit from including a greens product in their diets. I don't dare recommend it because I haven't read anything about it. Does anyone know anything about the company?

When I look at a green product, I try and understand the point of taking it. I have tried many, many green products over the years, and must say that most of them are virtually identical to one another.

This particular product you are referring to is really no different. It claims to be a green product, but does not have huge doses of green foods -- lecithin is the biggest single ingredient, and that is basically just cheap filler. Plus, I personally prefer when herbs do not comprise a large number of the ingredients. I also like to see a nutritional breakdown of the product, because that helps to identify the quality of the ingredients they use. Spirulina, chlorella, wheat grass etc. all vary greatly in their nutrient profiles based on the manufacturer -- and you probably want high quality of this stuff since they each can contain heavy metals and other unhealthful qualities if not grown properly.

For some of the same reasons, although it seems to be a particularly popular product here, I do not think of Greens Plus as a particularly high quality product. They use way too many cheap fillers, and way too few high quality nutrient dense ingredients -- their nutritional breakdown is similarly disappointing.

When I look at green super foods, the only three I have found to be high quality are Perfect Food, Vitaforce and Vitamineral Green. I have taken each of the three for months at a time, and they are all pretty good. But, again, Vitamineral Green does not have a nutrient breakdown, so you really don't know what you are getting. It is also the most expensive. On the plus side, they use high quality ingredients and really no cheap fillers.

Perfect Food also uses mostly high quality ingredients with few cheap fillers. I don't particularly like the taste of this one though. But, they do have a moderate nutritional label showing at least that they use good ingredients.

The one I am using now is Vitaforce, and it is the one I like the most. It also uses high quality ingredients with no cheap fillers, and has by far the best nutrient breakdown (And the most complete nutrient breakddown). I don't notice the taste really in juice or a smoothie, but I have tried it in plain water and don't like it that way.

Anyway, that's my experience so far. I have tried so many of these green powders, and those are the ones I like.

Best,
K-Dog
