Default Spritzer Salad Dressings

Saw an ad for this on TV. Looks pretty good when looking for something easy and to add some flavor to your salad.

Edit: did just notice is has HFCS though...but can there be that much of it in a few sprays?

That's a pretty good idea.

This would be easy to make yourself and put in one of those misto spray bottles. Just replace the soybean oil with olive or canola, ditch the HFCS.

The hardest part is the onion and garlic juice, but infusing the vinegar with garlic and onion, maybe some sprigs of herbs, first, should do it. Then use the vinegar in the sprayer.

I'm not impressed with low-fat or fat-free dressings; they're usually sugar water plus flavor and emulsifiers.

I like LD's idea of making your own in a spray bottle. I usually take salad for lunch, and I take vinaigrette in a small jar wrapped in a paper towel and sealed in a bag to keep things neat. A spray bottle would work really well for that.

Default lo cal dressings

Racer Bill, I concur. There is so much sugar in most of them. I am surprized how much balsamic vinegar you can use, along with extra virgin olive oil, and still have less carbs than most of these. Rob

Default Salad dressings

Another quick & easy dressing is lemon juice, good olive oil and garlic powder. Especially nice over spinach salads. And would work in the spritzer.
