Default Another low carb question... (Cass et al.)

Sorry, hope people aren't tired of answering questions.

What do you proponents of low carb diets do pwo? I am looking for meal suggestions.

I have always consumed carbs PWO regardless on low carb diets(sort of a targeted/windowed LKD) and was curious if their was a 'low carb' way of doing it.

If you don't want to use carbs PWO you might try BCAA + whey (whey protein isolate or hydrolyzed whey if you want to get specific). This will get your protein synthesis cranking and recovery started w/o high glycemic carbs.

I don't eat carbs after my workout and neither do the low-carb subjects in our training study (and they gained muscle and lost fat).

Mike has a good suggestion above. Go with that.

Or, I have whey, nuts and a salad with fat-free sugar free dressing (I like my veggies too much...romaine, spinach, small tomato, mushrooms, cucumber).

Actually, I need to clarify... I don't always eat carbs, but sometimes I do. When I do have carbs though, I don't have malto or dextrose or other High GI simple sugars. I prefer to have something like Fiber One cereal, or an apple, or Shredded Wheat, or half a protein bar... something slower digesting and less impactful on my blood sugars.
