Hello all,i was wondering if anybody knew how to make healthy flapjacks?I am looking for this kind of snack inwhich i could have inbetween meals as i am not one for fruit at the moment?I just love flapjacks however i want ones low in sugar and fat?Any ideas
I make the same ones that PJB is making. I'll do it as follows:
1 cup cottage cheese
1 cup oats
5 eggs whites
Then either some vanilla or almond extract, a bit of whey protein for taste (not really needed with all of the protein in it), and a crap load of berries. If I'm feeling really cheeky, I'll put some sugar free syrup on there. God I LOVE pancake day...

I forgot the recipe I used to use, I haven't made them in so long, but it was dry oats, chocolate protein powder, a couple whole eggs and a couple egg whites. Something like that, there are a ton of recipes out there. The ones from Johnka sound great too, might have to try those.
That reminds me, tomorrow morning I get a cheat meal, cracker barrel for breakfast. I think Momma's Pancake Breakfast with pork sausage and biscuits and gravy sounds in order.

These are awesome pancakes (with the oatmeal and egg whites)... everything in the family loves them... My oldest is picky and can't tell the difference... I used to use cottage cheese but don't so much anymore... Anything with cinnamon... MMMMMMM!!!
