Default MuscleTech's New "Gene Activator"

MuscleTech has a new, patented "gene activator" product, and I did not know if the success claims were for faster muscle growth or hyperplasia (if it was for the latter I would think there would be quite a clamor). Please note the preceding sentence was making the assumption that MuscleTech's claims had some validity. Here is a link to the site and scroll down to the bottom to see an inspirational photograph of Jay Cutler being taught chemistry!

This should be in the supplementation section.

Gene activation = Leucine. That's what all that mTor madness is.

I did some research on their claims a little while ago (reading their patents and what not) and if I remember correctly U.S Patent #5,968,900 wasn't anything special. It was something saying that dextrose+creatine worked better than dextrose alone or creatine alone. Not really ground breaking but the research referenced was from the mid-90s when the research would have been ground breaking.

Super expensive too! 90 bucks for 16 servings dextrose/whey hydrosolate/BCAA/Creatine don't those ingredients sound familiar??

I wish this industry wasn't so shady...

Yeah...

Sorry, but that's not how I learned chemistry. I had a seat and a lady teaching me about valence electrons and electron shells, bonding theory, formula rewriting, principles of ions, etc.

She didn't go over an ingredient list.

From the way they are so neatly arranged, it appears they are vases. They had to hurry and take the flowers out right before the shoot...

So, basically add some creatine to Surge and you're good to go.

I'm not sure if the dextrose in Surge is "pharmaceutial grade" though...

I don't know, but it's not clearly labeled. Neither of those guys are wearing safety glasses, either.

OSHA and fire code violations aren't all that uncommon in chemistry labs, but you'd think it'd be a bad idea to post photos of them on the internet.

Muscletech never ceases to amaze me... then again, the fact that people actually buy their stuff amazes me even more.

Their ads are great though, that pic with Cutler is classic!!
